With Easter just around the corner and guests for Saturday night dinner, it was the perfect opportunity to bring out some of my favorite Easter things and celebrate the joy of spring in style.
The inspiration for this table came from the "chocolate" bunnies. Playing off the blue bows and orange carrots, the idea for colors in this tablescape came to life.
The addition of my favorite Pottery Barn napkin rings, along with these adorable silver Easter bunny baskets ($5.99 reg. price with half off!!) from Hobby Lobby, really bring out the antique silver pitcher and make our everyday dishes seem more special.
My son's girlfriend made these adorable bird's nests for the table. She took plain bird's nests and added a little Spanish moss, a cute little birdie, and three tiny speckled eggs. I think these are the perfect addition to our spring tablescape!
A lovely tablescape for spring with a touch of whimsy!
Funny how taking just a few minutes to dress your table can make even grilled chicken taste like five star cuisine! Thanks for joining us for our springtime tablescape!!

Hi! I am visiting from Debbie's Newbie Party. Your tablescape is so lovely. Love the design of your blog. I notice that you have a button. I have been blogging for a few months but I haven't figured out the button thing yet. That's because all the directions I read are for blogs on blogger or blogspot and I am using a different platform. Come visit me and follow me as well.

Thanks, ladies, for all of your kind comments!! I am trying to link up to those of you I'm not a follower of yet, and I'm having difficulty!!! In fact, I can't even see my followers list anymore. I can't see it on any of your sites, and I get nothing when I click the "follow" button. Wondering if this is a problem with me or with Blogger....not sure. Like I said, I have learned enough in one week to be dangerous at this!! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteHI there and welcome to blogland! YOu will be awesome if this table is any indication! I actually have the same cake pedestal and ahve a centerpiece on it on my dining room table right now for Easter! Come on over and look at my Easter dining room post to see it! ReplyDeleteThanks for the nice comment on the island vignette. Yes, the container just "flew" into my basket! lol...thanks for your visit! Kristen
What a good idea to elevate the flowers on a cake stand! I'll have to remember that trick...it gets the flowers out of everyone's "line of vision" and still looks pretty.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful table in a beautiful outdoor setting! Thanks so much for coming by!
ReplyDeleteWonderful table setting. Love the centrepiece! Look forward to more posts. Diane
